


| BEACH CLEAN UP VOLUNTEER |
| Volusia Sea Turtle Society has adopted a mile of beach which we clean up at least four times a year. |

| Activities include helping to set up and man our booth at events such as: Seaside Fiesta, Marine Science Center Turtle Day and other such events. Helping to organize and participate in our local Christmas Parade. |

| SURVEY VOLUNTEER |
| If you wish to participate in beach surveys you must be physically fit, able to be in the hot sun, at times for as long as 4 to 6 hours -- pass a county drug test so that you can drive the county vehicles -- available to attend the 2 mandatory training sessions in March and April (dates to be announced later) -- participate fully in all tasks on both our A route and B route (tasks include such things as pounding in stakes with a heavy mallet, measuring and recording information, raking out false crawls, digging in the sand if a nest must be relocated, keep accurate records) You must be READY, WILLING & ABLE to do all of the above and more if necessary. If you are not able to do beach surveys please consider volunteering in our other activities (see above) |
